Home / Optical Coherence Tomography as a Tool for In Vivo Staging and Grading of Upper Urinary Tract Urothelial Carcinoma: A Study of Diagnostic Accuracy
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) was able to visualize, grade and stage UTUC, with sensitivity and specificity of 86.7% and 78.6% for grading, and 91.7% and 78.6% for staging, respectively. Multicenter prospective studies further assessing this real-time intraoperative diagnostic modality for UTUC are warranted.
