This recording is the next edition from the successful series “Everything you always wanted to know about TURBT but were afraid to ask”.
In this part 2 recording on the role of TURBT in muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC), two key opinion leaders will debate opposing views on the relevance of the procedure in the context of MIBC. Recent advancements in staging tools, such as MRI, are challenging the need for a thorough TURBT, with some experts proposing to replace it with a sample biopsy. Will the role of TURBT survive these changes?
Key arguments supporting TURBT as a foundation for accurate staging and successful treatment of MIBC will be presented during the debate. The session will conclude with a lecture addressing pros and cons of TURBT in the context of MIBC, offering insights into the future role of this procedure.
